MRJ 178

The latest issue of Model Railway Journal (no.178) is, in my opinion, one of the best for some time. I've been more a little underwhelmed by some recent issues, so it makes a pleasant change. The featured layout is Peter Bossom's 3mm 'Hoath Hill Halt' which I saw and was very impressed by at Railex earlier this year. There's a very informative article on static grass, including some excellent pictures from New Zealand (one full page photo of a limeworks is absolutely stunning), and a very inspiring series of tributes to Guy Williams, who died in August this year. One down-side is Tim Shackleton's editorial which follows his recent trend of doom and gloom about the future of finescale railway modelling!
